Conference Venue and Joining Instructions (PrintFriendly PDF)

Arrival

1.      If you are staying in on-campus accommodation please note:

o      Arrival before 8pm: collect your room key from the Postroom at Chamberlain Halls (post code SO16 3UD)

o      Arrival after 8pm: collect your room key from the Glen Eyre 24hour Reception with this link: Glen Eyre Main Reception - Google Maps.

o      Accommodation check in from 3:00pm, check out time before 9:30 am

2.      Luggage Storage - B100 Level 7, Room 7007 secured for you to use Wednesday - Friday

Champlain Halls and Highfield Campus

3.      If you selected parking, permits will be sent via email. They will need to print this off to display in their cars. For those not staying in UoS accommodation, please head straight to Avenue Campus Parking. For those staying in UoS Accommodation, you can collect your permit at the conference check-in in B100 (Centenary Building).

Venue

4.      The conference will be held in 4th floor, Centenary Building (B100), Highfield Campus, University of Southampton, SO17 1BJ. All talks in lecture room 4011. Posters and refreshments in room 4013. It is about 30 minute-walk from the city centre to the campus.

5.      For oral presentations, please copy your PPT slides into the Desktop in 4011 before your session. For poster presentations, please place your poster in 4013 on your arrival; you are invited to give 4 min presentation at 16:30 Wed in 4011, either just verbally or showing one slide; you can also use Thu Poster session to present your work.

6.      The Wed, Thu and Fri breakfast, and the Wed dinner are served in the Arlott Room (breakfast) and Terrace Restaurant (dinner).

7.      B100 closure - the time of closure is 19:00 for Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th September.

8.      Banquet dinner at Chilworth Manor Hotel, Southampton, Hampshire, SO16 7PT. Coach departs from B100 (Highfield Bus Interchange) at 19:00; Pick up from Chilworth for the return journey at 22:15, return to Halls and campus by 22:30.
